My first impression of this module was it was going to be fun and creative and would allow me to learn different skills than my other classes focused on. I really liked the idea of creating something personal for me that I felt passionate about and that I could share with others whilst also educating them and hopefully helping someone through my experiences. When I first delivered my initial pitch, I was nervous, however I was assured that my ideas were all valid. A piece of feedback I got which helped me to develop my blog ideas was to make my blog stand out. I needed to focus on a certain part of gym going in correlation to mental health and really think about what the mental effects are over the physical ones. My comments on the class blog surrounding my pitch were that I thought I had some good initial ideas and felt I could go into depth with my topic and successfully reach my target audience which was students, however I said I still needed to do a lot of research on mental health issues to get more information on how these effect people and how I could focus my blog on mental health benefits over physical health. When I presented my mock blog to the class I got a lot of feedback which has helped me understand what direction I wanted to take my blog, something that was said to me that I found useful was the idea I was given to interview people my age to help target my audience and I was also encouraged to think about what questions I wanted to ask in my interview to make sure I was getting specific answers which focused exactly on what I wanted to get out of my blog. Throughout studying this module, I have learned a lot of skills which are all new to me such as developing my presentation skills which I had not had much experience with before. I learned to engage with my audience more and tackle questions which I was not expecting, which I found especially useful as it expanded my thoughts and ideas for my blog. I also learned how to time manage through this class as we did a lot of practice in class with mock interviews making sure we kept everything short whilst still getting all the information we wanted to get across to our audience, helping me with my actual interview. Overall, I am incredibly happy with the topic I chose for my blog as I have learned a lot through my research regarding mental health and exercise which I have found interesting, and I also really enjoyed creating it. Looking back something, I would have liked to do would be investigate more people's journeys and share more on my blog with people from differing backgrounds.

Where to start?

Going to the gym for the first time (or the first few!) can be very intimidating which I definitely felt the first time walking through...
