Where to start?

Going to the gym for the first time (or the first few!) can be very intimidating which I definitely felt the first time walking through gym doors. Whilst this does fade with confidence, a good way to minimise anxiety on your first few visits is to go with a friend or a small group. I found it helpful to go with a friend who had been to the gym before as they could show me what to do and how to use the different machines, of course not everyone has someone who gyms regularly or might prefer to go alone. To help in every gym there is staff which are happy to help you if your stuck on equipment or you can book a gym induction which involves being shown around and how you can access all the different facilities.

When it comes to the actual working out this can also be tricky to know where to start, luckily there are many social media platforms such as Tiktok which can show you a variety of solid workout routines for each muscle group, this is currently what i use and have found a lot of new exercises which I now incorporate into all my workouts.
